Beschreibung
Epiloog „Muziek voor Reinbert“ (Zugabe) was written as an ‚in memoriam‘ or ‚epi-taph‘ as you wish, for Reinbert de Leeuw (1938 -2020), Dutch composer, conductor and pia-nist. In 2012 he conducted De Roo’s double concerto for recorder and violin ‚Im grossen Schweigen‘ with the Residentie Orchestra, recorder player Erik Bosgraaf and violinist Simone Lamsma. The tonal material of this piece is based on an early work for piano solo by De Leeuw. The first ‚Zugabe‘ has also been published by Tre Fontane and is a hommage to Luciano Berio (ETF 3032). Another work by Matijs de Roo published by Tre Fontane is ‚Sotto Voce‘ for tenor recorder, flute, violine, viola and violoncello (ETF 3055).
